There is lot of talks going on in the Mollywood industry about the need for inducting fresh young artistes as crowd pullers. Many attempts had been made this year with a bunch of newcomers debuting through many films, but none became crowd pullers in their own right. The latest movie from Salavudeen of cinemaa kottaka titled as ‘Puthumughangal’ is one such attempt to make a few fresh faces as popular heroes.
The producer had earlier been into big success with his debut film ‘Veruthe oru bharya’ with Jayram, when the later was at the low points of his career. The movie not only clicked big time, but also put Jayaram back into the star status that he once was.
This time with ‘Puthumughangal’, Salavudeen will present six newcomers and two debut directors into silver screen.
While director duo Don Alex and Baiju Majeed will debut as directors, young faces Thussar, Sarassi, Ameera, Silsila make their debut as heroes.Ragini Trivedi will don the heroine’s role in the film. Along with the fresh faces, the film also has some veteran actors like Innocent, Saleem Kumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Bijukuttan, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Geeta Vijayan, Jaffer Idukky,Tanya and Ranjitha in important roles. Yesteryear comedy actor Sainuddin’s son will also make his acting debut in Malayalam cinema with this film.
‘Puthumughangal’ will have script by Pradeep Kavunthara.Shyam Dharman will handle the music department while Kasi Viswanthan cranks the camera. Another interesting promotion of the movie is that the producer has given the right to name the newcomers on screen, to the audience!
