It seems megastar Mammootty is taking up deglamorised roles these days. After Johny Antony’s Thapana and Anoop Kannan’s Jawan of Vellimala, his next outing will be in debut director Shibu Gangadharan’s Praise the Lord.
The filmmaker who plans to make his debut this year will base his film on Zacharia’s novella— Praise the Lord.
The story revolves around the life of a Pala-based farmer Joy who is rich but unaware of what goes on outside his town. Produced by Manoj Menon under the banner Reels Magic, the movie will roll out by year-end.
