After the dismal performance of his few previous movies including ‘The train’ with Mammootty, director Jayaraj will once again be at the Box Office with the new movie ‘Nayika’. A take on the life of a yesteryear heroine, this movie will have Jayaram, Padmapriya and senior actress Sharada in the important roles.
Getting ready for a release on September 30, Jayaram will appear in a role with subtle comparisons with the ‘evergreen star Prem Nazir’. Interestingly, the movie will feature songs by MK Arjunan and Sreekumaran Thampi who had composed for many Prem Nazir films. One of their evergreen hits ‘Kasthuri Manakkunolo.. ‘from the movie Picnic will be featured in its remix version for the movie.
Let’s wait and see whether Jayaraj will be able to regain his lost name as a maker of quality hit movies.
