This is a bad news for all film lovers whose are eagerly waiting for the release of their Megastar Mammootty’s magnum opus historical film ‘Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja’. Upto yesterday its releasing date is fixed at October 2nd, but now its again changed to further dates due to some issues between theatres and distributotrs. Most probably it only hits theatres as Diwali release, 16th October or 9th of October.
The film is Scripted by legendary M.T. Vasudevan Nair and directed by Hariharan. To be simultaneously released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, Pazhassi Raja tells the story of legendary ruler and warrior Pazhassi Raja, popularly known as the Lion of Kerala, who took on the British in the forests of Malabar in the 18th century. Mammootty, the hero in Hariharan’s previous historical venture Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha (1989), plays the title role, while Suman plays the villain Pazhaiveetan Chandu. Tamil actor Sarathkumar plays Edachena Kunkan, the chief lieutenant of Pazhassi Raja. Others in the cast include Padmapriya, Kanihaa, Manoj K. Jayan, Thilakan, Jagathi Sreekumar, Suresh Krishna and Kalabhavan Mani.
