For Mollywood, which was in the lookout for quality young heroes for long, the arrival of Vinoo Mohan is providing some kind of relief. The actor has been exceptional in both the films ‘Cycle’ and ‘Nivedhyam’, which had him as the hero. The trade also was satisfied with the young hero who can dance, act with ease and time his comic acts and the end result was that both these films survived with safe earnings from the Box Office, largely dominated by super star films.
After a few months from ‘Cycle’, Vinoo is now back with his next, titled ‘Sultan’. The movie is crucial in the career of Vinoo, because if this film can make a safe run in the theatres, then it is sure to herald the landing of a crowd pulling young hero in Vinoo. The final schedule of the shooting of ‘Sultan’ was through with at Kinfra Park, at the capital city, last week.
Directed by Sree Prakash, the movie tells some intense moments, fun and frolic in the life of a group of medicos. They had been maintaining a steady relation for years, with the blessings of their parent’s. Sivan, the only son of a teacher comes from a rural background while Nisthita is a city bred, savvy modern girl from a well to do family of a doctor couple. Sivan and Nishitha, have their share of fights every day, but also immensely care for each others. Sivarajan has got his gang of friends in Naufal, Vivek, Sunny and Praveen-known in the campus circuits as a five men army.
Shivan is presently quite disturbed because his fiancee has been pestered frequently by a boy from the campus. Moreover his pet name of Sultan is also getting him into some kind of curious problems, in regular intervals. How Sivan finds the root causes to the entire troubles and how he comes over these problems of his life, forms the plot of the movie by Vinod Guruvayoor and Jayan Sivapuram.
