Ace comedy and character actor Salim Kumar has surprised everyone, playing the lead in the Lal Jose movie ‘Achanurngatha Veedu’ which came out half a decade ago. The poignant performance of the actor as Samule in this movie, has earned him the award for the second best actor of the year.
Thereafter many producers and directors have approached Salimkumar to do the title roles in their films but Salimkumar resisted the attempts and continued in his helm of activity as the most demanded comedy actor of the times.
Now after five years from ‘Achanurangaata Veedu’, Salim Kumar is back as the hero in the new film titled ‘Light’. He will be appearing as Raman Parayan, who later turns out as a communist following his bonding with a communist leader who lived in hideouts.
The movie will have him in two getups, as a youth aged 34 and then, as a veteran aged 84. ‘Light’ directed by Devaprasad will also have Jagathy Sreekumar, Kalabhavan Mani, M R Gopakumar and Ranjusha in other important roles .
