Malayalam movie goers will never forget the Vishu season of the last year, when they were left awestruck by a movie named ‘Big B’ made with technical and narrative finesse that even matched the Hollywood standards. It is officially launched Amal Neerad as a director of perfection, to the Malayalees who were looking for some differences, from their movies.
After the reasonable success of ‘Big B’, no one in the industry couldn’t deny the team, as superstars were after them for their next film. Mammootty, impressed by the outcome of ‘Big B’, his best in an action role, is said to have offered an open date to the director whenever he comes up with a new completed scripts. But Amal seems to have opted for Mohanlal, the other super star of Malayalam, for his new movie.
Amal Neerad, is now trying to recreate the screen magic of the immortal action hero of Malayalam, Sagar Alias Jacky, from Lal’s first mega hit ‘Irupatham Noottandu’ through his new movie.
Amal will be creating another high voltage action thriller, almost like a sequel of the movie, based on this character. The title of the movie which is being scripted by S N Swamy, is not yet finalized. The movie will be produced by Lal’s ‘Man Friday’ Antony Perumbavoor, in the banner of Aashirwad Films.
It is rumored that originally the sequel project of ‘Irupatham Noottandu’ was planned to be canned by Shaji Kailas in the title ‘Ee Irupathi Onnam Noottandu’. But with the debacle of ‘Alibhai’ last year, the project was dumped with out any second thought.
Now that Amal Neerad is after it, one is sure to witness the best of the Mollywood filmi action hero with style and élan, once again in near future.
