Four superstars. Four frontline heroines. 67 topline actors. 17 playback singers. Maximum release centers. One film-‘Twenty: Twenty’, the biggest multistarrer ever to be made in India has been in the news for a plenty of surprises that it plans of offer. Apart from featuring all the superstars of Mollywood in the lead roles and presenting 67 top artists in various important roles, the movie will also be the one to get released in maximum release centers in Kerala.

The maiden production from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), ‘Twenty: Twenty’ is directed by none other than the veteran Joshy, who had created multitude of hits in Malayalam. Featuring all the major stars of the Malayalam film industry who are acting voluntarily to raise funds for AMMA, the movie is poised to   become the biggest multistarrer in the history of cinema.

“The majority in AMMA were in favor of producing a film, than going for stage shows to raise funds. So we entrusted Dileep, a couple of years back, (who has experiences with his previous productions) to handle the duty of executive producer, organizing and coordinating the shoots”, says Innocent, the president of AMMA, “A good story was then developed which appealed to the most and now the members are wholeheartedly supporting the film by appearing free of cost on designated dates,”

‘Twenty: Twenty’ will be a big budget movie made in a big canvas that can effectively hold all the artists in adequate roles. Everybody in the film has equal footage, and the film is said to be shaping out well. The leading channels have offered whopping amount for its television rights of the movie.

Though the producers of the movie are keeping tight lipped about the roles of the stars, it has been reported that Mammootty will be playing the role of an advocate and Mohanlal will be Dileep’s elder brother in the film. As per our initial reports, the movie will tell the story of a big family feud that has been passed off for generations, between two biggest Tharavaadus of central Kerala. The film which unfolds around a murder mystery has Mohanlal playing a character Jagannathan, the most successful business man of the area (resembling his role in ‘Aaram Thampuraan).

Suresh Gopi is again in a police role-a stern upright DySP having a long time rivalry with the character played by Lal.

Sibi K.Thomas-Uday Krishna duo who has written the scripts for the movie has taken adequate care to include scenes that will give ample space for all these star avatars   to perform in characters that they had been in the best. They very well realize that this is ”history in the making ‘‘where each of their dialogues, character sketches and plot points will be analyzed without mercy. So we have reserved our best for making an entertaining and engaging film, perhaps the only one of its kind ever to have made in our times” comments the scenarists. Even though the film features such a great number of artists, Sibi-Udayan assures that the film will never be an overlong affair, which will get completed in less than two hours and forty minutes.’ The title signifies the pace and action in the film, which will be short and exciting like seeing a twenty:twenty match”.

Ace cinematographer P Sukumar cranks the camera for the movie while Ranjan Abraham will handle the editing.  ‘Twenty:Twenty’  will feature three songs by Suresh Peters and Berny-Ignatious, one a festival song canned on the young stars including Prithviraj, Jayasuriya, Indrajith, Kunchakko Boban and the most sensuous glamour  queen of South India, Nayantara.

The second song will be filmed on Dileep and Bhavana. The makers of the movie AMMA are now in the plans to include a song in the end credit rolls, which will feature all the important stars.
