It is the classic repeat- Mamootty vs Mohanlal, all over again on January 31! Both their films Rowdram and College Kumaran were supposed to release on January 25, but due to production delay it has been postponed to next week. The theatres did not want both the films to release on the same day, but now it looks like a clash is inevitable. The producers and distributors of the film Marakkar Films and Emil and Eric are firm that they will come out on Thursday January 31 with Roudram and College Kumaran.
Ideally both Mammootty and Mohanlal would have liked solo releases, as commercially their films have been taking lukewarm openings. The biggest beneficiary in the whole drama seems to be Dileep and his Calcutta News which will now have a solo Republic Day weekend release, with no opposition!
