Even after the film remained a loser in box office, Jolly Joseph the producer of Heartbeats has got still more reasons to worry.
The latest thing to add his suffering is that actress Simran who played a prominent role in the film has filed a case against the producer for defamation. Her complaints that any no point of shooting she was made aware that she is playing a character who has aids and finally dies due to the disease.
“Had I known that my role was that of a HIV patient, I wouldn’t have accepted it at all,” says the actress.
She had demanded an amount of Rs 2 crores, for causing disrepute to her image and mental trauma for her, personally.
The film which failed miserably at the box office was also in the news earlier as the director has chopped off, the intended anti aids message from the film, due to bad audio. And with that the film even didn’t made a decent climax and made hurry through the proceedings.
The producer who also penned the basic story of the film was surprised to see the final copy which had no message and was nowhere near to what he expected of the movie.
