Renowned filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s new film Moonnu Pennungal is scheduled to make its world premier at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it will be shown this September.
The film, which is based on four short stories from Thakazhi, one of the best writers ever in Malayalam, was produced with support from Doordarshan, the national television network.
The film’s cast includes Nanditha Das, Kavya Madhavan, Padmapriya, Geethu Mohandas, Manju Pillai, Ramya Nambeeshan, Murali, Mukesh, Lalitha, Manoj K. Jayan, Sreejith, Ravi Vallathol, Ashokan, P Sreekumar and others.
